Background:

  • Chinese people are well-educated, smart, energetic, and embrace new technologies, especially generative AI. πŸ§ πŸ’»
  • The Chinese software industry is mature, fast, and free. Lots of customized GenAI applications on the marketplace for productivity. It's free to use! πŸ†“πŸ€–
  • Chinese is clear, safe, well-structured, and modern. Everyone can be a service provider at any time, anywhere, and a startup founder in the market. 🌐🏒
  • Chinese developers are highly contributing to open-source projects such as Apache Doris (modern data warehouse for real-time lightning-fast analytics). πŸ€–πŸ’»

Highlight 1: Serverless 🌩️

  • Chinese infrastructure is fully serverless when starting a project. 🌐
  • The Chinese government policy encourages enterprises to start and invent green economy tech for the environment. 🌳🌍
  • High-computing industries such as financial service, entertainment & GenAI, blockchain & web3 are adopting AWS serverless best practices. πŸ’ΉπŸ•ΉοΈπŸ€–

Funny story: πŸ˜‚
I once met a founder who had created an AI-powered dating app that would match you with your "perfect" partner based on your social media activity. The catch? It turned out the app was just randomly setting people up, and the "matches" were completely nonsensical. But the founder insisted it was using advanced algorithms to find true love. We had a good laugh about that one!

Highlight 2: Strong Startup Culture πŸ’ͺ

  • Chinese people are happy to innovate and tend to build open-source projects to solve existing market needs. πŸ”πŸ› οΈ
  • Ownership of the ecosystem & community: Starting green environment projects for the long-term future of humans, tech, and our beautiful mother world. 🌳🌍
  • Directly facing customers: Gaining feedback from the team (security, project manager, designer, developer) to upgrade and innovate quickly for go-to-market. πŸ‘₯πŸ“ˆ
  • Chinese people accept failure and learn fast. They easily and seamlessly adopt the latest global things to the local market. πŸš€πŸŒ

Funny story: πŸ€“
I attended a startup pitch competition where one of the founders presented a plan to use blockchain technology to revolutionize the pet rock industry. He went on and on about the "immutable distributed ledger" and "smart contracts" for buying and selling pet rocks. The audience was both impressed and thoroughly confused.
